Recepcia Augustínovho spisu O trpezlivosti u Tomáša Akvinského a v súčasnej etickej reflexii
Andrea Blaščíková
BLAŠČÍKOVÁ, A.: The Reception of Augustine’s Treatise On Patience by Thomas Aquinas and in the Contemporary Ethical Reflexion. Studia Aloisiana, 6, 2015, 1, s. 5 – 17.
The paper presents the constitutive elements of the virtue of patience taken down in Augustine’s treatise De patientia. In the Middle Ages they were received, developed and systematized by Thomas Aquinas in Summa Theologiae. Emphasizing the essential attitude of patience towards grief, to endure grief in the perspective of higher good, also determines its actual object in a contemporary situation. The current refl exion of patience drawing from the traditional theory accentuates mainly its importance to medicine.

KLUZ, M.: The Service of Love towards the Sick and Suff ering : Moral and Pastoral Requirements. Studia Aloisiana, 6, 2015, 1, s. 19 – 36.
Illness and suff ering are extremely challenging phenomena in human life. But God does not leave anyone alone in the diffi cult situation of the disease. A particular manifestation of God’s care is the help that the sick receives through the ministry of love from all people of good will. Fundamental obligation rests with the immediate family and caretakers who in addition to the necessary assistance should provide their patients the possibility of the encounter with Christ in the sacrament of anointing. Among the people with special tasks with respect to individuals aff ected by the disease and suff ering, there are health care providers, who should approach each patient with great respect and love. This paper presents specifi c responsibilities towards the sick and suff ering that have to be fulfi lled by mentioned groups of people, thus all people of faith, immediate family, caregivers and medical staff , who in a special way have been entrusted with human life.

Józef Młyński
MŁYŃSKI, J.: Cohabitation as a Factor of Family Destruction Pro Futuro. Studia Aloisiana, 6, 2015, 1, s. 37 – 52.
This article refers to a description of cohabitation as a factor of family destruction pro futuro. The author’s aim is to show this phenomenon in the context of a fi nished Synod, which took place in Rome undertaking themes of diffi cult religious and moral questions of a family and especially the people who have deprived themselves of taking advantage of sacral gifts due to the tragedy of divorce. Cohabitation as a social norm of functioning a partner relationship lively describes itself into the discussion of the Synod. It is not a new social phenomenon, as it existed in a diff erent form called concubinage. Nowadays it obtains status quo among groups giving opinions. Thus the author gives its description in the rage of defi nition, typology, motifs and reasons for its existence in a modern society and the consequences of existing individuals pro futuro. It seems, that this phenomenon is especially co-related with the probability of marriage break-up, if it had not been formalized before. Cohabitation consequences really infl uence the quality of later marriage.

Je E.T. náš brat vo viere? Exoteológia – hypotézy o inteligentnom extraterestriálnom živote
Marek Heczei
HECZEI, M.: Is E.T. Our Brother in Faith? Exotheology – Hypothesis of Intelligent Extraterrestrial Life. Studia Aloisiana, 6, 2015, 1, s. 53 – 76.
The greatness and character of the Universe encourage believers and theologians to overcome the fragile terminology which has been used within the Church for hundreds of years. New trends in theology will focus on deeper understanding of the Earth realites, the antropomorfi c understanding of God towards the idea of God of the Univere. The whole universe, galaxies and planets have a common source which is God. After the Creation, the forms of their development were glorifi cation of the dynamics of God’s creative love and power. Currently, exotheology deals with theories and hypotheses about the implication of the extraterrestrial life into the fi eld of theology. It is focused on the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations, the possibilities of the Christian faith or unbelief in the intelligent extraterrestrial life as well as its impact on theology through the evidence or the interaction with extraterrestrial life. The exotheology in the perspective of the Christian doctrine explains the relationships between intelligent estraterrestrial life and Incarnation, God’s self-revelation, salvation, evil and original sin.
Keywords: extraterrestrial, aliens, salvation, incarnation, God’s self-revelation, Evil
Does Science Need Its Own Commands?
Łukasz A. Turski
Psalm 79:10 says: “Why should the heathen say, Where is their God?” Some years ago in the contribution entitled The God of Unbelievers to the volume: Faith and Culture I quoted Napoleon asking Laplace, why he had not refer to the God in his book on analytic and celestial mechanics. Laplace answered the Emperor: Sir, I did not need that hypothesis.
