Pannenbergovo filozoficko-teologické chápanie času a večnosti v perspektíve eschatológie

HECZEI, M.: Pannenberg’s Philosophical-Theological Understanding of Time and Eternity in the Eschatological Perspective. Studia Aloisiana, 5, 2014, 3, s. 5 – 20.
History and nature are accessible for a review, but the spectrum of defi nitions becomes problematic in their understanding. Pannenberg sees the connection in scientifi c and religious world correlations. He perceived science and theology as diff erent disciplines, which have their own methodological procedure for obtaining and evaluating of informations. The area of natural laws is for Pannenberg an example that preliminary explanation of natural facts presented by scientists is often purely provisional. The explanation is achieving the permanent force only on solid theoretical basis. Both disciplines, history and nature, are related to the same publicly observable facts of human being. Theoretical basis of complementarity, in both disciplines, is based on theological analysis.

Libertariánska sloboda a nereduktívna fyzikalistická koncepcia N. Murphyovej

SPIŠIAKOVÁ, M.: Libertarian Free Will and Nonreductive Physicalism of N. Murphy. Studia Aloisiana, 5, 2014, 3, s. 21 – 37.
Nancey Murphy affi rms that an explanation of human action requires the change of paradigm from “atomistic” to “process” metaphysics. Humans can be understood as complex dynamical systems with diff erent levels of complexity, where a new kind of causality (top-down) emerges. She suggests that the solution of the confl ict between libertarian and compatibilist accounts of free will consist in the exclusion of the neurobiological (bottom-up) determinism. Even though all animals from the more simplest to most complex are to some degree free from the biological and environmental determinism, only humans with their ability to use sophisticated language and the concept of self, and with their capacity for self-transcendence can be really free and responsible agents. However this kind of freedom diff ers from the free will in libertarian sense.

Dziedzińce poszukujących Postęp w rozumieniu Teilharda de Chardin

KULISZ, J.: Gentiles’ Courtyards : Progress in the Understanding of Teilhard de Chardin. Studia Aloisiana, 5, 2014, 3, s. 39 – 59.
The author presents the historical and philosophical-theological context of how the French Jesuit Teilhard de Chardin understood progress. The context is a true Courtyard of the Gentiles which for Teilhard de Chardin, a thinker and a priest, became a place for a dialogue with the people who seek the explanation of the mystery of human existence. The fi rst courtyard of the dialogue was the philosophy of progress, changes in the world, social life, even the human being him/herself and the changes induced by science. The second courtyard is a society of theologians and believers of the fi rst half of the 20th century who were sceptic and even hostile towards anything what meant development or progress. Teilhard de Chardin rejected the merry optimism of the fi rst courtyard as well as the pessimism of the second. Whoever talks of progress, the French Jesuit says, should show the sense of humanity which will lead human beings out of egoism, will shape an attitude of existing for others and will show Information – a power which will overwhelm the scandal of death.

WIELEBSKI, T.: The Essence and Methods of New Evangelization : From Teaching of the Magisterium to the Pastoral Activity. Studia Aloisiana, 5, 2014, 3, s. 61 – 82.
The missionary directive that Jesus gave to his disciples, saying: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15) is valid for the Christians of all times. The directive mentioned above is actual particularly in modern times, when so many people lost their faith and live as if God did not exist. We are not allowed to keep the gift of faith just to ourselves, since we are obliged to share it with others – by undertaking evangelization mission expressed by a range of pastoral activities. They should be preceded by proper theological refl ection, allowing for avoiding any acts incompatible with the essence of the Church, whose principal task is performing the salvific intermediation. Such activities belong to the pastoral theology, characterized both by normative and practical dimension.
Referring to the teaching of the Church Magisterium, in his article the author approaches the essence and characteristics of the New Evangelization, indicating at the same time the methods of its implementation within the Polish ecclesiastical reality. These methods include, among others, activities such as special congresses, parish evangelization retreats, New Evangelization Schools, evangelizing in the streets and by visiting private households. Presentation of these activities is aimed at encouraging the Slovakian reader to make use of the experiences of the Church in Poland and – depending on the local determinants – to adapt some of them to the Slovakian ecclesiastical reality. Such activities are an attempt to answer the appeal of Pope Francis included in his exhortation Evangelii gaudium, in which he summons all theologians, the pastoralists in particular, to make sure that their theological refl ection serves well its purpose and shows them how best to bring the Gospel message to diff erent cultural contexts and groups (EG 133).
